Rotational grazing is where livestock is regularly moved from one pasture to another to optimize the use of the forage as well as improve the soil and give it time to grow back what the animals have eaten. Nowadays, a lot of farms mainly just leave the animals in a single pasture and supplement them with feed and or hay. The farms that we have toured over the past couple days had examples of rotational grazing, such as Firefly Hollow and Flatland Farms.
