What does "sustainable agriculture" mean? By Adriana

What is Sustainable agriculture? Sustainable agriculture is an innovative approach that aims to meet the growing demand for food while minimizing negative impacts on the environment and preserving natural resources for future generations. Sustainable agriculture focuses on maximizing the efficient use of resources, reducing chemical inputs, and fostering biodiversity. By embracing sustainable agricultural practices, farmers can enhance soil health, conserve water, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and protect ecosystems. This  integrated approach not only supports the production of healthy and nutritious food but also contributes to the overall well-being of our planet. For example, we saw how the Gienger's swine farm repurposes their hogs manure to a top notch fertilizer that helps their crops grow.
